Tech Recruiter: Candidate Discovery Specialist

About Keepers
We are a recruitment firm based in New York City with a team in the U.S.A. and Brazil. We help US-based high-growth tech companies build their engineering and GTM teams. Our clients include leading tech companies like Cal.com, Gumroad, and Intapp.

We're creating NYC's most beloved and fast-growing startup recruiting firm.

We don’t just fill roles; we challenge industry standards and earn trust from clients and candidates for being supportive, effective, and high-urgency. We pride ourselves on delivering a thoughtful, human, and efficient candidate and client experience. Click to see what clients say and what the talent we work with say.

We have very high expectations of each other. We’re a team of high-performing professionals with a common goal of outsized professional and financial success. Keepers is more challenging, rewarding (financially, professionally, and personally), and supportive than 99% of companies. DO NOT APPLY if accelerated growth and financial achievement are not your top priorities.

About the Role

You are a critical front-line interviewer at Keepers. Your judgment is trusted as the gatekeeper of the talent we eventually place with our clients. You will conduct in-depth candidate discovery calls, assess cultural fit, gather technical fit details, and translate your findings into clear, actionable notes for hiring decisions. You’ll leverage AI tools and processes to make your work effective and high-quality. This role sits at the heart of our recruiting process. You’re the person who uncovers why a candidate is exceptional (or not) and communicates that insight to our internal team.

You’ll help us execute and further develop the gold standard for candidate assessment. This role can grow into a client-facing account manager position or expanded leadership responsibilities within the interviewing team.

Keepers is a startup, you may need to wear multiple hats at times to help the team reach its goals.

About You

You thrive on connecting with people and have a sharp instinct for spotting red flags and hidden gems in conversation. With experience interviewing technical candidates, you go beyond scripts to uncover the truth—listening to what’s said and how it’s said. Tech-curious, organized, and fluent in English, you approach interviewing as investigative work, making confident calls that help teams find the right fit.

You’re driven to grow fast and want to be part of a team that accomplishes in one week what others take a month to do. Career growth is your fuel, and you’re motivated by compensation that reflects the impact you deliver. Working late nights or weekends alongside founders isn’t a burden to you—it’s an opportunity to accelerate your trajectory. Ambitious yet collaborative, you make working together easy and productive, bringing energy that pushes you and your team forward.
